Between the age, ...Thank you, and Merry Christmas! Between the age, woods and ladder bracing, this guitar had a very dark voicing. It was too dark for my tastes, although I enjoy playing it because the size and scale length fit me well. I typically fingerpick and play with D'Addario 10s, but there was no making this guitar any brighter. My son used it in a talent show in the fall of 2017, and I had to take it off line afterwards because the front panel is so bellied that the bridge is about ready to fly off. At the moment, less than half of the surface area of the bridge is attached to the front panel. It's (still) waiting in line for upgrading to a pinned bridge as well as X-bracing. Yep, the back will come off again, and I'll reroute properly for the binding this time. I'm hopefully that the neck won't need another reset.<br /><br />It's been a long time since I've blogged here, and I've been pretty busy with a variety of repairs and other projects.
